Facebook Investor says $1 Billion Offer Too Low!!! He compares Facebook to the value of MTV!!!

Mark Zuckerberg was only 19 when he founded Facebook, the social networking site designed for college students. He is now 23 and has turned down a reported $1Billion offer from internet giant Yahoo!.

Early investor Peter Thiel who sits on Facebook’s board, believes that a measly $1 billion dollars for this 300-person company spread over three buildings in downtown Palo-Alto, California, is a risible sum! He compares Facebook’s current price tag to that of MTV, which he values at $7 or $8 billion!

Thiel says “Between the two I would want to own Facebook.” (Yea sure you would pal!!! That’s bull! You are an investor and you sit on the board, so what else would we expect you to say! It’s called great promotion and publicity! But you and every other wall street analyst know that’s a blatant lie!) Mark Zuckerberg and the people at Facebook are now talking about a possible IPO in 2 years that could potentially be the biggest public offering since Google.

This is very interesting being that Tom Anderson and Chris DeWolfe sold Myspace for a measly $580 million to Rupert Murdoch’s News Corp. Google picked up YouTube for $1.65 billion. We can see why Mark Zuckerberg and the gang are holding out. But the question is what makes Facebook worth $7 or $8 Billion??? We definitely don’t see how their value can measure up to that of MTV. We think Peter Thiel was definitely smoking something illegal when he made that bold unproven statement!

Reports are confirming that Actor Owen Wilson did try and commit suicide!!!

Media Swirl has learned that the reported rumors that we posted yesterday about actor Owen Wilson are in fact true! A “call to service” report from the Santa Monica Police Department, obtained by the television show “EXTRA,” shows that the 911 call from Owen Wilson’s home was made because the actor tried to commit suicide.

The call was received shortly after noon on Sunday and was “cleared” some five hours later. “EXTRA” is reporting that it was Owen’s brother who found him. Owen was rushed to St. John’s Hospital in Santa Monica and later moved to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.

Doesn’t Vick Deserve our forgiveness????

Ok yes Mike Vick committed several atrocities as it relates to dogfighting, gambling, and the torture of the animals. But our question is doesn’t Mike Vick deserve forgiveness just like everyone else? He admitted to making a mistake. Didn’t our founding fathers who we so strongly urge our children to recognize and admire own Slaves??? George Washington who is regarded as the father of this country, and America’s greatest general, owned many slaves. That disgusting part of his life is never drudged up when he is talked about or taught to our children in schools everywhere. Does the fact that he and the many other founding fathers of this country, owned and supported the inhumane institution of slavery blot out all of the other positive contributions they made??? We would suggest all of you Mike Vick Haters think on that for a moment, before you declare the man a savage and attempt to ostracize him from the NFL.

Did Actor Owen Wilson try to commit suidice???

Reports are swirling regarding rumors that funny guy actor Owen Wilson ( Wedding Crashers) tried to commit suicide this past weekend. Owen was supposedly treated for dehydration at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. Wilson issued this statement through his publicist Ina Treciokas “I respectfully ask that the media allow me to receive care and heal in private during this difficult time.” 

Owen Wilson was reported in good condition Monday.
